I hear that. I had more problems with my new, store-bought macbook and air, than I did with either of my refurbs (macbook and MBP).

Hello !

Had my lovely 15" 2.5 Glossy for 2 weeks now, absolutely stunning, no problems so far, not had the stripes issue or any gfx glitches.

Audio is fine (I mainly use it with Cubase 4 / Logic 8 for music composition/production)

All in all, extremely happy !

My 15" 2.5Ghz Glossy is completely fine! Hdd seems a little noisy at times, but nothing that worries me, and its all quieter than my old PC!

Seems like pretty much almost all 17" hi res mbp owners have flawless machines.

That's been apparent since the powerbook days that most of the 15" always had some sort of issue as the 17" almost always had none.

Fantastic!

Love my 2.5 15' matte screen, so far. Only gripe is that the WI-FI reception is not as good as my plastic Macs.

Gotta say I was a little worried when I ordered (from reading all the issues on this forum) but mine seems to be good so far. No yellowing/screen issues, no warpage, no weird noises and no dead/stuck pixels that I can see. Knock on wood...

15", 2.4GHz, matte screen.

Well they say 3rd times a charm and that's been my experience. I got my first one March 12th, took it and got it replaced on March 15th because of the speaker buzz. Used that one for about a month and then it started having some really bad performance issues. HDD/Logic board related, had some other little quirks too. Just got that one swapped out a few weeks ago. This one has no problems whatsoever, I'm very happy and it was definitely worth the wait.

mine is perfect with the exception of the weird noises i hear when i use headphones

Same here

You can only really hear the noises when: for example an error sound plays and the noises start. They stop after half a minute, or so. So basically when there is an audio out-put you can hear the noises. Luckily you can't hear them when playing music.

Otherwise, it's completely flawless!

worst things with mine:

the screen shows some sort of vertical light leakage from the LED Backlights while watching a movie. Very faint, so Im not troubled by it.

They, STILL, have not fixed the QC on the keyboard backlight bleeding through the speaker grills. Its just black electrical tape, come on apple!

other than that, its been pretty decent.
