It must just be a mistake by Apple because the specs look the same as before. And I remember they removed the "New" sign when the 17-in MBP came out.

Are you questioning the "New" logo above the 15" computers? If so they have been that way for a few weeks.

Even if it has been that way they still are not that new. Since they came out with the Unibodys, there has been new Mac Pro's, a new iMac, Mac Mini, 17-in MBP, iWork 09, iLife 09, and a new iPod Shuffle. So it is one of the oldest things in the store.

The "new" sign was on when the unibodies got the minor spec bump.
From 2.53Ghz to 2.66Ghz and from 2.8Ghz to 2.93Ghz or something like that.

The new sign still may be up from then?

When the new iMacs came out, the Mid range MBP got a small processor speed bump. It used to be 2.53 not 2.66. They also added the BTO option of a 256 SSD to both 15" models
