Hello all,

My new MacBook is roughy a month old. I've noticed in the last few days, when I open the lid it is no longer powering on / turning on automatically, indeed I either have to close and re-open the lid meaning it does, or press one of the keys on the keyboard.

Any idea what might have happened here?

I dont have this exact issue but there seems to be a lot of odd behavior related to powering on or sleep functions that have popped up since the latest OSX update.

Okay, thank you. I’ll see if it gets a fix in the coming weeks.

Okay, glad it’s nothing I have done by the looks of it. Thanks.

Following up on this, my weird power issues have been resolved since the last update. Hope it was for others as well.

I think mine has changed from the weird power issues to Safari automatically being open when the computer boots up.

Mine has changed to, sometimes it does a self-assigned IP address over ethernet (through USB-C hub). Had never done this previously with the same hub I have been using for months.
