Is anyone else having problems connecting to wifi? Ever since I moved over to the new 16" M1 MBP I often wait for minutes for my MBP to connect to wifi. With every other MBP it's been near instant--a minute at the most. This MBP can take forever. And when you click on wifi it doesn't even show the known networks. I use the same machine at work and home and it's become a major annoyance to sit down and work and instead be sitting waiting on it to take forever to connect. I would think it's Monterey, but my old 16" intel MBP didn't have this issue.

I was having this issue and it turned out the 5GHz on my router was failing. With the new router (RT-AX86U) I have no issues. Monterey does seem to connect a little slower than Big Sur though, but still not more than about 10-15 seconds.

Mine is near instant like on my old Intel MBP. Sometimes takes a few seconds but it's normal. Like it was on the Intel one. I'm using Asus AC86U btw

Well in my case it happens at work and home. And other computers in the house aren't affected. Sometimes I wait far longer than 10-15 seconds.

In case anyone else is running into this issue. I have noticed something: a restart immediately fixes it. So something is clearly getting off I'm just not sure what. For example, I wasted 20 minutes on a recent flight trying to connect to the wifi, something that has never been a problem in the past. However, the icon for the wifi network would just get a spinning icon over it and nothing would happen. Then finally I decided to rebook my MBP just to see what happened and after it restarted the wifi immediately connected as normal. So something is going wrong that's cleared up by a reboot, but I can't imagine what.

Yep. I have the same in Monterey 12.1 beta (don’t know if that’s the problem). Also, after closing the lid and opening again, I am connected to WiFi, but can’t ping anything.

Only a full reboot helps.

Similar possible issue here, 16" M1, 12.0.1, sometimes it drops the wifi connection (happened earlier today on waking from sleep) and then won't reconnect. Put this down at first to router issues, and restarting the router fixed it on two occasions in different locations. Can't rule out issues with router/network yet, but today I left the router alone and restarted MBP, and that fixed it.
