New 17 inch macbook pro

    To people who are on the fence, etc. GET THIS BABY. The resolution and greater real estate on the screen make a HUGE difference over the 15 inch.

    I agree- and after looking at and comparing them side by side, there is a very small difference in size. The thing is just so, so sick!

    I've heard people complaining it was too big. It is the lightest 17" machine on the planet! It is only slightly bigger than the 15". I am eager to get my hands on one--tomorrow or Wednesday I should have mine.

    I feel the two best machines are the MacBook and 17" MBP. THe 13" MB is a very nice machine also--better than the old MBP and much smaller.

    The weight of the 17" MacBook Pro is less than the weight of some of the other manufacturer's 15" notebooks.

    Ordered last Wednesday and got it today. Stock config.

    Liking it much better than the 15" unibody MBP I had so far.

    My 15' is still within the 10 days. Maybe I can trade up if they get them in stock.
