I'm expecting my MBP sometime tomorrow and would like to know what I should do before putting it to work and fulfilling all of my fantasies. I heard about fully discharging and charging the battery, letting it sit at room temp for 3 hours before turning it on (it's being delivered)... is there anything else worth noting? Thanks.

Switcher? If yes, congrats.

My MBP's battery came at about 80% charge. I just plugged it in and turned it on. It will charge as the machine is being used with no problems. A battery calibration can be a good idea in the first little while to get you the best battery life possible. Procedures below:
