This seems to be the first fast thunderbolt SSD which won't need an external power connector.

Thats gonna cost a hell of a lot when its first released, being a new product with few competitors right now.....

I already knew the one from elgato but I wouldn't say this one qualifies as "fast" since they are using a older and slow sandisk sad because I think they had some power problems.

For what it has to offer it is much too expensive.
