I just purchased my first Mac and I have an older video camera mini DV, PV-GS 120. Ma. Has thunderbolt connection, camera has a mini usb connection. The cable has a mini connector on one end and a full size sub connector on the other end. Is there a cable or a connector out there that I can purchase to hook the two together and put videos on the Mac? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you need a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. Apple sells one (but you might be able to find a third party one cheaper).

You'll also need a firewire cable for your camera, but you probably already have one of these. It will need to be a 6 pin firewire on one end and most likely a 4 pin firewire on the camera end. If you already had a firewire cable for your last computer it will likely be all you need.
