Look, it's pretty simple, watch the keynote if you want to understand why they got rid of the Fn keys.

I did watch it. Their "rationale" was complete nonsense. They had nothing past "we've had these forever".

Yeah, we've also had a very wide spacebar forever, doesn't mean we should take it out just because it's been around for years.

the ports are a 'thinness" and physical space issue. Very different to the keyboard area where there is plenty of space..
