Hey everyone! Just got a new 2019 21.5” iMac. It’s the 3GhZ 6-Core model. Mac ID is 19.2. It has 8GB of Ram but can take up to 32GB. So long story short, any suggestions on websites or even a specific set of Ram I should buy? Would love to max it out at 32GB but shopping these ram sites has been confusing for me. Thanks!

If you really want to take your brand new iMac to pieces, then it might be worth looking at something like ifixit - but the new models are so new, there isn't much info out there yet.

I think you really need to know what you're doing to take apart the 21.5 and install the RAM yourself. I remember watching a video demonstration of this and closed it out half way through thinking "there's no way I could do that without screwing something up"

If you want "user-upgradeable RAM", then return the 21" iMac NOW and get a 27" model instead.

If you want 21" and "more RAM", best to return it and get one with more RAM from the factory.

If you are absolutely certain of your ability to completely disassemble the 21" iMac and then re-assemble it, the perhaps you can "add it yourself"...

Please don't do it, for I forsee the bitter tears of regret. Return the iMac if you can and if you're certain you need more RAM, but don't risk trashing it.
