just a quick question on the recently slightly updated 23"ACD model.

are these the specs for the newer model?

Brightness (typical)

Response time (typical)
• 16 ms

Pixel pitch

I can say with almost certainty that Apple will release a new model within the next two years. So you're in luck.

Like I said in my post, a few weeks ago, I'm hoping to see a 24 inch display...since the largest iMac has a 24 inch screen. But what's an extra inch, anyway?

Not going to happen. The technology in the 23" screen is a different (some say better) one then in the 24" models. And for the Pro users this really makes a difference.

Yes this is true. Apple seems to have a lot of old stock, and pretty short supply of the new ones. So Apple only sells the new one, for now, in the US, in the rest of the world chances are you will get an old one. Read the other threads about this.

Apple are knowingly selling older models advertised as new ones. They agreed today to refund me for mine and say if I order another I will get the new spec - I seriously doubt this though

i am in the uk and really want to order a 23" with a new mac pro.
what i will probably do is order online then phone them just to ask to make sure it is the new described model that will be sent out.

if they send an old one i will just return it.
