So, pressing the "Benchmark" box gets you a much coolio nimphus experience. The multi spinning cubes now extend backwards into "Z" space.

WARNING : May trigger a seizure !!! Or a desire for psychedelic music.

Logo now MUCH uglier, but these people clearly aren't design pros, or their website wouldn't look so 1998.

Seems the scores are lower too, everything will need to be retested.

Sad that they claim 4.0 compliance but no need to offer tests for Apple stuff past 2.1...we are REALLY far behind. Still an extension away from 3.0. Hear that sound? It was the future marching past us.

At least it now runs on iPhones. !!! (I am NOT making this up)

Benchmarking Issue with new Version 3.31

Doing tests on 5770 and 5870, I encountered abnormally low scores in the 3.31 Open GLViewer.

So I ran same exact test setup using version 3.22.

The differences are on a factor of SIX OR SEVEN !!!

Worst part is that the test results screen has no way to tell which version it is. I have added the "About" screens to this single image. In any case, it's going to make it difficult to compare results any more, since it is going to be crucial to know which version of OpenGl Viewer.

Since I thought this was important (though obviously nobody else did...echo echo) I wrote the tech department at RealTech about this issue.

Here is what I got back:

    Hello
    Thanks for your feedback.
Since version 3.30 in fact, the 'benchmark' mode is much more intensive (more objects drawn).
Of course, when comparing, you should use the same version.
I will include the version number in the next version as well as a CSV export

    I will keep you informed
    Thanks.
