Just got a new iPhone 5s and it lasted all of five hours! What it does:

    1. Small spinning white progress wheel on a solid black background for exactly three minutes
    2. Solid blue screen except for one pixel line in the middle that is black for about a quarter of a second
    3. White Apple logo on solid black background for 9 seconds
    4. go to 1.

Have you tried a hard reset?

Hold down the Home and Power buttons together until the phone shuts off then turns back on.

If that doesn't work, take it back.

It went completely dead and no amount of pressing the power button or the home button alone did anything. So I saw in another thread here about the reset combo and when I tried that, that's when the endless loop began. I will be at the Apple store when it opens at 10 am.
