So I have gotten a new 5s over a 5 - the 5s is running 7.0.6, the 5 was also running 7.0.6. I have noticed that when I close all apps using the multitasking bar (swiping apps up, and the only 'window' left is the home screen), then I click on the home screen 'window', the menu bar text takes a weirdly long time to 'mesh' over the existing menu bar text, kind of 'stretching' if that makes any sense.

This did not exist on my 5 using 7.0.6, so I'm not sure if this is a 5s bug or whatnot. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is what I mean. One image has the homescreen 'window' in multitasking; the other shows the blur on the top - this 'blur' takes a second or so, then clears up. Really annoying and distracting. I managed to capture a screenshot of the 'blur', but it was hard.

this isn't new to iOS 7.0.6. I've been having this problem since 7.0 beta 1.

I think I know what you mean. It's not something new though, I've noticed this on 7.0.4 on the 5s but not on the 5. It's weird but you get use to it I guess lol

I noticed it a few weeks ago and it drives me crazy. I wonder if it is still present in 7.1. Maybe someone who has the beta can let us know.

I have a 5S and mine looks nothing like that. On my multitasking window, I only have the status bar on the thumbnail that shows the desktop. The main status bar is gone. And then the blur effect goes away before it finishes filling out the screen when I tap on it. I have a 5S running 7.0.6

Seems like a couple of replies above someone mentioned that it's fixed in iOS 7.1 betas.

I have the same problem on the 5s with 7.0.6, had it since i got this 5s, also, the close animations are sometimes laggy and not that smooth as on the iPhone 5.

7.0.6 as made the close app , close folder effects smoother, but it's still loosing frames now and then.

The 5s is a great and powerful device, but the iOS - hardware implementation is one of the worst i have seen since iPhone 3g.

I researched this and all my problems have been fixed in 7.1 betas.
