A while back i disscused about the 6.1.3 JB with iH8sn0w and he tweeted me that it "might" come out after iOS 7

After that,he also said on JailbreakQA that there are exploits for both 6.1.3/6.1.4,but wont be used untill the iOS 7 JB is out

So,if iTouch 4 and iPhone 3GS users are stuck on 6.1.3,this is your only way out :p

At that point you might as well just upgrade to iOS 7 and then jailbreak that instead.

Correct terminology is they are saving the Exploits to use on the 7.0 firmware they have no plans to use it for 6.1.3 or 6.1.4. it takes a lot of work to find and use these exploits. Apple is trying to stop them unlike android that allows them. So you can make as many threads as you want about 6.1.3 & 6.1.4 it is very unlikely their will be anything but a tethered jailbreak.

I would have thought that they would create the iOS7 jailbreak, then use the same exploits on 6.1.3/6.1.4. That way you're not wasting exploits, and you're still serving a large group of users.

nice idea but again way to much work it rarely happens. finding exploits and using them is way more complicated then you guys think. they have said several times they have no plans to make a 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 jailbreak now or in the future. since they are the ones spending their time and effort and they owe us nothing then that's the way it is.. of course somebody can always learn to hack since everybody thinks it's easy.

Yup! People assume jailbreaks are backwards compatible but if you start present day and go backwards, you'll quickly learn that's not how these things work.

I believe this way of thinking is more prevalent right now because of the troll(s) spreading the BS regarding the Unthreaded Jailbreak. People are seeing this and just assuming that if/when iOS 7 is jailbroken then 6.1.3/6.1.4 will be too.

You clearly do not understand jailbreaking. It would be very easy to backport an iOS 7 jailbreak to 6.1.4.

Whoa! Mind blown by an incredible contribution! AHHHHH!!........Not.

I've been following Evasi0n and they keep saying they will release one for 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 after iOS 7 is released. Apparently they don't want to give anything away that they might be able to use in iOS 7.

…ehhhhh
They will as @planetbeing has mentioned it, but that it is easy is far from the truth, apparently they have the right tools this time, but that does not mean you can backport any JB to a different firmware.

If a hole (exploit) is found on iOS 7, then it will 100% will be found in iOS 6. Apple wouldn't unpatch their security in newer iOS versions.

Nope, depends on what hole is found, the code might differ significantly from firmware to firmware, it might work on 1 but not on the other as behaviour differs. Otherwise all build apps will always work on future firmware too.
