Picked up a pair of 2nd Gen Pros this weekend and am super impressed thus far.

One issue I’m encountering is for some reason the AirPods won’t remove from my battery widget. They seem to be disconnected (Bluetooth settings say “Not Connected”) but they won’t get off the widget.

I tested with my iPad and this isn’t happening.

Any ideas? Tried a reset and repair and that did nothing.

I think the case and pods for the new Airpods Pro 2 always broadcast the battery info without you having to connect them. If you turn off Bluetooth, then it should go away.

Hmmm that doesn’t seem right, like I said my iPad disconnects within seconds of closing the AirPods lid.

If this is the case I think it’s pretty stupid design.

You shouldn't have to turn Bluetooth off to get your earbuds to disconnect. There are other things that may be connected that need Bluetooth like the watch

The Airpods are disconnected under the bluetooth settings. But they still remain on the battery widget.
