Probably at some point. Keyboards aren't on meaningful update cycles, so it's pointless to make a prediction based off of past updates.

I hope this time they release a backlit keyboard (happy for it to be corded). The area my mac mini sits in can get a bit dark at night. I currently use a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate but wouldn't mind something of a smaller form factor that's backlit.

Jealous that the MacBook users get all the backlit action!
