Oh man...shouldn't get my hopes up...but I think it's a Cube (the chances of it being a cube is miniscule because it wouldn't weigh 10 pounds).

maybe something else...

two displays at two totally different prices? I doubt it...

edit: the 15" studio display weighs in at a little over 11 pounds...the odds of it being a display are like zero...

Well, it could potentially correspond to a 20" and 23" LCD. (with a price drop on the current LCD)

But... also 10.00 Lbs could just be a "default" weight.

who knows... it could be nothing :)

I'm thinking that they're going to drop the 22", introduce a 20.1" at about the price of the 'new Apple product' and drop the 23" down about a thousand which could explain the price differences.

Whatever they are, if they are anything, wouldn't this tell us that they probably will come out this Tuesday, the 28? I don't think MacConnection would leave something that vague on their site for more than a few days.

Searched for 'MITonly' brought up a third item.

Mac
425451
MITOnly
Special Order
$239

MIT AppleCare Plan PowerBook

Just an FYI, those prices are the same exact prices my University Apple store is selling the 2 new Powerbooks at. I think that's what that is. If you search for the previous item number (423950) it is a Powerbook. Not exactly conclusive, but I think that's what I'll guess.

Regards,
Gus

P.S. I know what you are going to say..."but the Apple Ed Store has them for $1699!" That's true, but my University (University of Nebraska) has them for $1499 and $2999.

Before the server hicup that caused us to lose a bunch of posts on this thread...

someone said they called MacConnection and that it was an MIT (the school) deal... and seemed that it was simply the current powerbooks

:( That's too bad. . . :)

I was looking forward to some new displays.

Ridiculous....

Yeah... a ten pound Apple display... my 17" Apple display weighs 22 pounds. Congratulations... this is the dumbest post I have ever seen.
