I'd say that's more of a Melbourne problem, not an Apple problem...

Unfortunately you are correct with this. We could've had a beautiful store, but the local and state governments screwed it up.

Here for the obligatory "no store in the Melbourne CBD yet" comments. Honestly it's so far beyond a joke now it's ridiculous.

Apple is very picky about its locations, they have to be high foot traffic, large and often for the flagships like CBD areas something very historic or different from a normal retail outlet.

they did try and get the GPO building but H&M got it instead
