New Apple TV(2021) with Sony A80j

I wonder if someone is using these two devices together, I’m planning to buy a Sony a80j to connect my new Apple TV, I wonder if there are issues using these two devices, I have plenty iTunes movies I like to enjoy the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, please make a comment about this, thank you

I'm using an Apple TV 4k (not the 2021 model) on my A80J. I have a pair of homepods as main audio output. Sometimes I notice audio sync. It's more noticeable on Apple TV + material, but I see it on HBO and Netflix too.

Other than that I have not seen any issues with the Apple TV/A80J combo. TV looks incredible.

I'm now seeing raised blacks with my 2021 ATV 4k with my Sony OLED. Maybe I didn't notice previously since I don't usually watch in a pitch black room, but last night I did and the letterbox bars on movies are IPS gray and not solid black. It looks really bad in dark scenes. This is with Apple TV only - native apps do not have this problem. A google search shows this has been an issue for years. Anyone else with an OLED seeing this?

All reviews I have seen on AVS forums and on YouTube suggest that problem had been fixed in the 2021 model. I have a 1st gen ATV and never really noticed (nor looked for) the issue. I have a 2021 model coming from Costco soon and will see if I notice it.

It was my fault and there is no issue. I was experimenting with some color settings with SDR content and they unintentionally also ended up in HDR content which completely threw off the blacks. I reset them and letterbox bars are inky black again. I can say that Dolby Vision does look better on the native apps though. The ATV Dolby Vision presentation is noticeably dimmer although I noticed that from the start. I use Dolby Vision Bright with the ATV.
