I Can't log on on using my youtube username. I've read so many articles online about this. I'M SO CONFUSED! any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!

Google forced YouTube accounts to become Google+ accounts a while back. You may need to see what Account settings you have for Google.

Some Google accounts are set up to require 2-step verification or App specific passwords. If either of those are enabled on your account, you would need to go through that process.

Got a fix off Apple support. Worked for me.

Here's how I got it to work.
1. Log into your YouTube account
2. In the upper right, click the icon with your image and select "Page" under the Google Account heading.
3. Click Profile in the upper left and select "Dashboard"
4. Right-of-center near the top of the page, select "Settings"
5. There will be an option about "Third part apps" or similar. Choose this.
6. Scoll down to see your YouTube Page username. It will be something like username@pages.plusgoogle.com.
7. Under this, there is an option to create a password for this account.
8. Create a password for your YouTube Page account
9. Sign into YouTube on your AppleTV with this username and password.
10. Enjoy
