I have set up my 128 GB Apple TV, but when I log on to iCloud and view my devices, it is showing as a 3rd generation apple tv. The serial number is correct, but I didn’t think it was the third generation ATV

So it's actually a 7th gen Apple TV... The 4th gen Apple TV (HD) was the first modern one to support tvOS, but apparently they reset the generation count at the 4K, so now they're back at generation 3. Not confusing at all, Apple!

Not really that confusing, yes it’s the 7th generation Apple TV but also the 3rd generation of the Apple TV 4K.
