Maybe because in an Internet forum people have opinions/wished/ideas they want to share?
WHY restrict that?

That's fair

Can I count on your vocal, public, support when I get told to be quiet about my opinions/wishes/ideas for another iPhone Mini in the future?

Or my desires for a user accessible NVMe slot on Macs?

And my displeasure with the overpriced component upgrade pricing Apple charges?

No, not really. Believe it or not, I actually have other more pressing concerns than worrying about something that statistically is never likely to happen to me.

Edit: Not really sure why I can't seem to get quotes to insert. I was trying to reply to turbineseaplane. Maybe I've already been hacked through my smart door lock! LOL

No full sized HomePod? Lame.
Also, unless they make it gaming focused (M4 class for instance) why on earth would anyone who already owns an AppleTV upgrade? LOL, (lmao even) if they think AI is going to move units.

Fair enough
I'm not sure all agree

I'd be very upset with a smart lock being hacked and my house possibly being broken into

Would this be borderline negligent though? It's fairly trivial to check any photos you've uploaded, skim that metadata, stalk your socials and break into your home at an opportune time with the aid of an insecure smart lock. It's like the people that advertise their family status with little stick figures and dinosaur stickers on the back of their car. Probably some due diligence is required.
The flip side is that locks keep the honest folks out so I see it both ways

I don't see it as negligent when there are other, easier, opportunities for someone to break into my home if they REALLY wanted to. I live in a relatively rural area at the end of a non-thru street. If someone truly wanted to break in, they would likely break out the back door glass and reach in and unlock the door out of view from the street.

Of course, once they got in they would have my previously mentioned dogs to contend with...and they don't really like unannounced visitors.

It's a complete privacy nightmare. All those cameras and sensors and devices are recording tons and tons of data about you and your house and selling them to advertiseres or giving them to gov agencies for surveillance. Not to mention the fact that having the doors to your house unlockable if someone in russia or venezuella gets your account password lol

You have to be truly, truly stupid to have any "smart home" products in your house.
Flat earth-er right here... ^^^^ Paranoid much?

i am still on my 1st ATV 4K. I have HDR, Dolby, Lossless audio with Apple Music, great screen savers. I dont use the og remote instead i use my tv remote, brilliant! Best Apple product in price/value. what will the next gen ATV do better? i would be interested in a colored one instead of black…

Why cant you just use one of the many LAN streaming apps with an NAS
It's an added expense (if I had to guess). Plus extra complexity. While I love my 100's of TBs in my 12 bay Nas fed out to my boxes it's not feasible for everyone. It requires additional hardware of some sort at a minimum, and potentially a Windows one at that for best results. Not everyone is gonna do what I did and pair it with a Windows server box that also has a home assistant VM and all the network backups and automations etc etc. Even a fraction of what I'm doing is a bridge too far for someone that wants "it just works"

No-one here should be told to "shut up" about any feature requests in any Apple product, nor voicing their opinion for as long as they stay within the rules we all signed up for.
That obviously doesn't mean I agree with all opinions ...
