Scratching my head on this one. The only new "feature" rumored is a FaceTime camera? 'Cha, right! <Wayne's World speak> Not likely since this would require specific user placement of the ATV. A USB port with support for eternal webcams would be more appropriate.
I feel like the rumors of a camera on an Apple TV are mistaking it for a Homepod with a screen that is likely coming at some point. That device will likely be running a version of tvOS which is where the confusion is coming from.

Expecting both devices to be having only minor improvements. An Apple TV with a built in camera will be much costlier. Not sure whether it will be launching this year.

Looking forward to replacing my two older Apple TVs with this new one. I do want Ethernet connectivity. More robust. Question is when?

Actually, those in congested WiFi areas like apartments, and businesses, including hotels, use Apple TV devices over Ethernet for security and enhanced throughput reasons. It cannot be removed.
Hi, you’ve misread. Gb is for downloaders, 100 Mb is plenty fine for people who only stream.

The only way they release one of these under $99 is if it benefits the Apple Corporation more so than the customers.

Kinda like how 4K TVs can be found for less than $178. These companies make way more money from you once the tech is inside your home.

Well you can hate it all you want but it’s been proven that Apple TV 4K has been one of the best streaming box out there. It’s not just a bunch of apps with boxy interface. The color reproduction is way better than most streamers and built in TV apps out there.

Just compare the same streaming app between built in apps on your smart TV and Apple TV, you’ll notice the difference right away. It maxes out the potential of your TV, with almost no calibration required. I’ve just set my OLED panel to Cinema mode with HDR enabled, then calibrate my Apple TV box with iPhone, and boom you get the best colors.

Sounds good. I don’t have one yet. Can you link me to a couple of the studies?
