The new Apple TV has USB-C, does this mean that Apple could enable 4K through a software update in the future?

Oh then why is everyone complaining about it not supporting 4K lol

Because UHD can also provide 60 FPS with 2.0. The current 4K feeds out there aren't 60 FPS so for now its moot. It doesn't say 4K, but I'll be interested to see if it supports the Netflix 4K feeds. We'll know soon enough. The didn't go to H.265 which disappoints me a bit. Better compression so in theory 1080p would even look better than it does.

Hardware spec on the Apple website says 1080p maximum and I think they're right with this . . . .

Its for critical recovery.
If tvOS bricks, can plug in to Mac/PC and do a recovery mode.
