So I still have both my late 2009 Wireless keyboard and the new late 2013 wireless Keyboard.

The new keyboard feels more plastic and noisier. The keys aren't as stiff as the old one. Also the keys aren't really flat. you can notice the gap between every key and the bottom is noticeable.

Old keyboard ( sorry for the low resolution / old pic )

New one

Anyone got the same issue ? typing on the new one is really uncomfortable and loud

I have always found the Apple keyboards to be uncomfortable and unsuitable for typing. I don't know why the keyboards on Apple laptops are quite nice, yet their external keyboards simply are not, in my opinion. So I use third party solutions, like the Matias Tactile Pro and the Matias Quiet Pro

But this wasn't the case with the 2009 keyboard, it was literally perfect. Keys were so soft and solid, I don't know how to explain it but can never hear the keys when typing.

This new one is annoying as hell. Looks very cheap compared to my older one. Also if you look at the space underneath every button you can tell how bad it is.

Hello All,

I really can't stand the cheap looking and feel of the aluminum keyboards that Apple has been supplying since Apple switch to Intel in 2006! I kept my old 2003 Bluetooth keyboard (model A1016) from my old G5 Quad Core machine and works perfectly with my Mac Pro! As I believe the quality and feel of the old white keyboard is much better!

Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent
