The problem with ai in general is they are dumb. There’s no attempt to understand the hardware and they run the same ****** benchmarks all the time. Not everyone does 4K rendering. I’d much rather see some fluid dynamics computations or some machine learning tests and see if that extra 3MB of cache makes a difference.

What is the point of an i9 in a Macbook Pro? You have PC laptops that can have sustained 5ghz speed with the same i9 processor.

Just get the i7 as the i9 doesn't work properly in the Macbook Pro chassis. If I was to spent money on an i9 processor, it certaintly wouldn't be on a Macbook Pro but a PC laptop that can utilize the i9 processor.

yes same here, i suggest base i7 2.2 ghz with vega 20 its the perfect combination for this gen MBP chassis and thermals

I got the i9 only because it was available to pick up with 32GB, 1TB and Vega 20. I think this is the first time Apple is selling more expensive non-default configurations in Europe.
Sold my old one and got the new one the same day.

Apple is really cranking out that configuration.
