New AT&T Nano Sim for iPhone 6/+

Does anyone know much about it?
Apple website says that the phones will not work with "older nano sims"
but mine works with my old sim from my 5

I went to AT&T and the guy there told me that they only have one kind of nano sim, so it's not like giving me a new one would help anything.

I read that new nano sims are required to use the 7 new LTE something or another la la la

My 6 Plus came with a new ATT sim. I was also told my old one would not work with the phone.

Voice over LTE when it becomes available will probably not work.
