The website show's the corner clips as being clear (both CA and Maroo sites).. but the posted pictures of the Maroo show black.... i sure hope the CA version has the black clips :)

Great catch Brian... the original prototypes had the clear TPU chassis. We decided to change it to a kinda clear smoke black. Correction to the site will be up shortly.

Thanks CyberSteve for your fast response.

Another question about the Kumara II: My computers show the color as PURPLE (which is what I want) but others say it looks more of a wine color.

It actually looks purple on my iPhone 3GS as well.

So, you are the source :) please let me know!

Cybersteve,
Does tha apply to the maroo nylon cases as well? (that the corners are smokey instead of clear?)
I have a white iPad and one of the reasons I ordered the maroo was because the clips were clear.

Questions Answered

ninerfan - yes the color is more of a dark red tone but not maroon.

LanikaiGirl - Yes, all the new iPad2 cases will have the clear smoke grey corners. If you want a refund, please send me a private message with your order number and I will be happy to issue you one.

Lanikai girl - it is better to have the smoked corner bumper because over time a clear one will become dirty. The smoked one will hide that better. Also they don't cover that much of the bezel.

Maroo/cyber acoustics iPad case

Just to add my .02, I have had their iPad 1 case for a while now and it is absolutely awesome! It is very protective, yet the iPad comes out easily when I want to hold it without a case. The elastic retainer bands turn out to be very useful. It's a quality piece and the price was reasonable. Overall I am soooo glad I went with it.

Does anyone know if the premium leather version (I like the black MAUNGA II) which Maroo has available for preorder for $99.99 is available for order anywhere else for less $$? I saw a post where someone indicated that they were able to order it for $79.99 preorder. I currently am using the Yoobao which is not bad (despite all the negative posts), but I really like the way the Maroo/Cyber Acoustics shows more of the face/top of the iPad and the premium leather for a decent price is tempting.

LanikaGirl - I will should be able to send you a picture later today.

Faded1984 - At the present time there are no resellers in the UK but we are working on this. I hoping by the end of May we will have something.

White iPad

Cybersteve,
Do you have a picture of a white iPad in a in production case?

Thanks!

Gina

LanikaiGirl - Hopefully the picture gives you a good idea how the corners look with the white iPad.

CyberSteve -
Currently I have an iCarbon skin on the back of my iPad 2. Do I need to remove that prior to using my Moko II?
It's quite thin but......

I just got my shipping notice for my CyberAcoustics case!!!!

My case showed up today.... I really like the look and feel!

However, the inside is a bit of a disappointment :( . There is a large crease/ flap down the inside spine that is very distracting. It's almost as if somebody pinched the suede before the glue dried. Holding the case with the cover folded back I can feel this 'flap' in the palm of my left hand. I wonder if it's a manufacturing flaw or are they all like this.

I'll take a picture of it tomorrow.

I also got my case today. I am not sure if the poster above me is saying the same thing, but the case lacks a stable spine.

When you fold the case over into a vertical stand, typing position or simply in half, the spine portion is a lot of times uneven. There is a very thin piece of cardboard at the spine and the faux leather material sticks out and clumps when the case is folded.

I will do my best to take pictures and post tomorrow. I am also not sure if all the cases have this or if mine is somehow defective. At this point it is an immediate concern and not an issue I ever had with the marware or yoobao cases.

Maybe Steve can shed some light on this...

Sounds like a defect but I'm certain it will be sorted out !

On a side note, I am quite interested in the Keyboard case but can't understand why the price is so high. lol. I am not going to be buying it anytime soon, I have spent way too much on the past couple of weeks with the iPad, the case, the apple wireless bluetooth keyboard

I got a message from (Cyber)Steve and he's taking care of it... great service!!!

Here is what I'm talking about... Its kind of nit-picky but it does 'feel' weird when you hold it.

Glad to hear that! that's one of the reasons i ordered from them. That problem would definitely irritate me, you aren't being picky.
all that matters is that its being sorted! And im guessing you are in the US so at least delivery won't take too long

Are there any differences between the moko II and the maunga II or kumera II except the quality of leather (and color of kumara II)?

Leather Quality

Are there any differences between the moko II and the maunga II or kumera II except the quality of leather (and color of kumara II)?

Farrellcollie - The Maunga and Kumara are made from a higher qualtity of leather vs the Moko and Roto. The functionality remains the same.

Ordered my Moko II on Thursday. Got it on Saturday. Couldn't be any faster service than that unless I had driven down and picked it up myself. Guess being only 180 miles or so from Maroo helped some :)

First, to answer my own question (see above), there is no problem at all fitting an iPad 2 with a thin skin into the Moko. At least with the iCarbon CF skin.

Fit is almost perfect. The camera hole can be off just a little but can be remedied by repositioning the iPad. Not an issue for me as I don't use the camera anyway.

The interior lining is wrinkled on mine also. Not to the extent of the one pictured above though. I don't think it will be an issue with me other than I worry that constant movement of the lining may wear the material over time.

The case does add some weight obviously. But handling the iPad now feels much more secure than before. I do see myself using the elastic corner straps; especially if leaving the house.
The microfiber cloth is a nice bonus and it fits nicely in the interior pocket once folded a couple times.

Look and feel of the leather is awesome. And I love the on/off feature. Wasn't sure that would matter all that much to me until I experienced it.
All-in-all, an excellent case. And initial experience leads me to believe Maroo is an excellent company to deal with.

Jim

Raven45, thanks for the post, would you mind posting photo(s) of the "wrinkles"?
