Hey all, well this is my first post, after CONSTANT stalking of this forum for the past month or so! So... i thought it was about time, seeing as i have joined you and just bought a nice new shiny MBP 15" today from the apple store (regent street, london)!!!

so far VERY happy with my FIRST MAC EVER!! although i must admit i was concerned about a few of the problems reported on here (whine, yellow screen, excess noise etc etc) but NO probs here 🙂

anyways sorry for yet ANOTHER thread on a new MBP but as a life long PC user i am extremely excited!!!!

any Q's feel free to ask 🙂
 
lol screen name is from when i was lil n i thought i was l33t (lol) but its kinda carried on through 🙂
 
I still remember getting my first mac after being a Windows user, it was an iBook G3, good times. Since then I have owned 2qty B&W G3, G4 TiPowerbook, Al Powerbook, 15" MBP, and I currently own a black MacBook and 17" MBP. I've never looked back. Since I work in IT I deal with Windows every day but to this day it never gets old when I take out my Mac laptop at a conference and start getting the weird looks.

I forgot about my Intel Mac Mini

haha yea i work in IT too... will be fun to see that kind of response 🙂

I've had mine for a few days now and I love it. I have to say that it's one of the best computers I have ever owned. I'm so glad I went for the MBP.

ok ok... kinda cringing when i think of it now, but...

i wanted cyrus... obviously it was taken, so i put some characters to surround it... something symetrical 🙂 and ever since its kinda stuck to me 🙂

Congrats! I do too will be partying as soon as my new mac arrives!

I still have my first Mac (Macintosh Color Classic II)
I still consider it my first baby! I love that little computer.
I hope I will be as pleased as I was with this awesome machine. It still works fine with System 7.1

It gets even funnier when they try to tell you what doesn't work or what you can't do on a mac. The greatest to this day had to be the time I made a presentation at a Microsoft partner conference and I used my MBP and Keynote to make the presentation.
