New bands in stock but won't allow purchase

Has anyone else been successful in actually picking up one of the new bands? All stores near me have them in stock for pickup today, I went in and they argue with me that they can't give it to me until the 16th. Then why does it say pickup today?!

I was able to purchase all of the new nylon colors except for the Orange (not in stock.) The associate said he had to open the boxes in the back, but that if I didn't mind waiting he could. I certainly didn't mind!

I picked up the orange nylon today, as well as the ocean blue and concrete. Going to go awesome with my gold series 2!

Either it's a side effect of them being checked in (They're marked received and the system doesn't allow for them to not show as available at that point), or someone is misunderstanding when the bands are allowed out.

I must amend my earlier experience slightly...went to a different store near me because it showed the Nylon Orange/Anthracite in stock. Was told it wasn't allowed to be purchased until the 16th. I politely pointed out that another store had sold me other new colors in stock on two separate occasions this week (I was even wearing one of them) but was still told no. Remained polite but pointed out that I could order it for pickup on the app/website and that it seemed silly. They offered me try ordering right there in-store and then waiting to pick it up, because that they would concede to, but as the store was 30 min from closing I left. Whole thing made no sense and it's the first time I've ever had a negative feeling experience in an Apple store.
