Apple today unveiled third-generation AirPods with a similar design as the AirPods Pro and several new features, but those likely aren't the only new headphones launching soon, as MacRumors contributor Steve Moser has found images of unreleased Beats Fit Pro earbuds in the iOS 15.1 Release Candidate seeded earlier today.

The images reveal that the Beats Fit Pro will look similar to the Beats Studio Buds that were unveiled back in June, with the new headphones appearing to feature a completely wireless in-ear design with tiny earhooks.

The images also show that the Beats Fit Pro will be available in at least four colors, including a white, black, gray, and pink, and iOS 15.1 beta code indicates the headphones will have both Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode.

According to 9to5Mac's Filipe Espósito, the Beats Fit Pro will be announced around November 1 and shipments will begin within a few days after that.

What are the general differences between this and the AirPod Pros?
Is it still just sound for now?

Was thinking to sell my PowerBeats Pro and go for the AirPods 3 in the hope of slightly better sound quality and looks but maybe these are better again.. will hold out for a bit longer and see if these are an upgrade.

As someone who is VERY active in sports, I prefer the over the ear style of the powerbeats pros. Apple airpods both pro & non pro do not stay in my ears… and even these powerbeat fit pros look iffy. Plus the battery in my powerbeat pros last forever AND I love the physical buttons.

- AirPods won't stay in my ears while walking.
- AirPods Pros are secure for everything BUT workouts. They would fall out for running or anything similar almost immediately.
- Powerbeats Pro is ROCK solid during ANY workout but is MUCH larger than all the rest, with a huge case that has charging issues over time. No active noise reduction.
- Beats Studio Buds have been shockingly amazing... small buds, "cheap" compared to the rest, equal in sound to AirPods Pro with decent (but not class leading) active noise reduction and SHOCKINGLY stay in my ears VERY well, including runs. Couldn't do non-steady state sports with them however, anything too jarring and they could pop out. The don't have an H1 chip which has some annoyances but the small light size is worth it.

These new Fit Pro headphones look EXACTLY like the excellent Studio Buds BUT with an in ear hook (that i've used in the past to make AirPods stay in, they work great) that should make them the near equal of Powerbeats Pro but without the extreme size. The fact they have ANR and the H1 chip should make them more like the AirPods in "nice" to have features compared to Studio Buds. This might be a GREAT option for you to get something smaller, lighter, and with ANR compared to the Powerbeats Pro.

Once bit, twice shy after buying Powerbeats Pro. I’ll wait for the reviews to come back and a good six months for user feedback before buying these. I swore off Beats earbuds but these could pull me back. Fingers crossed.

Lol and just today my second pair of rm one earphone is hit with the high pitch noise before one of my runs
Hopefully these fix that bug along with the charging case THAT SUCKS BIG TIME in terms of staying put.
I bought mines with a warranty so I have one last exchange that I could use for these new ones at The source. If they were to come out before June of next yr. If I cam get that high pitch noise crap to go away

As long as the Beat Fit Pros do not drop from my ear while I am walking, I buy them! Only the Bose seem to fit me and keep in my ear! All the rest, get loose and fall to the ground as soon as a half of a block is reach!

I run with airpod pros and studio buds and neither fall out. If they are falling out as you walk you either 1. have the wrong sized tips in or 2. have the most vigorous walks around that shake them from your ears.

Looks like the successor to the PBPs? Count me in! Would love if my PBP’s had transparency and ANC.

I appreciate the feedback, but I still prefer the powerbeat pros. Yeah they’re bigger, but I’m a big guy 6’4” with big ears I guess, so they don’t bother me at all. Plus like I mentioned, the bigger size means bigger battery, which means longer run time. I also love the physical buttons on the powerbeat pros. Rocker buttons for volume & a round button for pause & skip so you don’t have to pull out your phone or use HEY SIRI! - which can be annoying while working out. Everyone has their preference, but I prefer this design over all others For all the reasons i mentioned. ✌🏼

You are lucky to have the right size ear canals! I used Airpod and Airpod Pros with all the size attachements, no luck, all fallout while walking. Many people’s earbuds fallout too! Just have to find the right model for you!

Just the knowledge that my earbuds COULD fall out ruins it for me.

Especially as I'm a bit of a hygiene freak.

I like to put my Powerbeats Pro on before I go to the gym - and remove them after, with clean hands.

I love the fact I can control volume and tracks with my Apple Watch (which goes straight into the shower with me).

Some people just have differently shaped ears than you. I’ve tried all the sizes of ear tips with my AirPods Pro and there is absolutely no way they would stay in longer than 5 seconds while running. Luckily they don’t fall out (often) while walking, so they still work for me for a commute. But I’ve never ever been able to run with Apple headphones of any type and I can only gaze in awe whenever I see someone running with them. The wired ones would burn out from sweat in 5 minutes anyway, so they definitely weren’t worth the hassle of pushing them back in constantly. Behind-the-head buds or Trekz are the only things that work for me.

I love my Powerbeats Pro.

I just know that a tonne of people have had problems with reliability.

One of my friends has a pair that have lasted a couple of years - so I bought a pair a few weeks back.

I leave them to dry out after each workout before putting them back in the case.

Hopefully, that helps!

I was so happy with mine when I first got them. Three months in and I began to experience all the bads others had warned of. Now, I don’t think everyone does experience a drop off in reliability so I hope you have a good set because they are, IMHO, the best earbuds for working out.

I just made peace with the fact it might happen.

I didn't even get AppleCare (and can't, as I'm in Portugal).

And now these new ones are out I feel pretty OK.

I'll get them too and use both.

I love gym and splashing out on decent gym headphones is easy to justify.
