Additional signs of the Beats Studio Buds are continuing to pop up ahead of their release, with new images and details found in a Taiwan's NCC (National Communications Commission) database.

We've already seen multiple pictures of the Beats Studio Buds, which feature a wire-free in-ear stemless design that sets them apart from prior Beats headphones and the AirPods. The database photos give us some insight into size.

The Beats Studio Buds fit into the ear and feature silicone tips, and there's likely to be multiple size options available to ensure a snug fit. There's a small body that houses electronics, with a Beats logo visible.

For charging purposes, the Beats Studio Buds come with an oval-shaped charging case made from matching plastic material. The photos have all featured black Beats Studio Buds and a black case, but there will be white and red versions available too, presumably with matching cases.

The Beats Studio Buds use a USB-C cable for charging, according to the database, which means there's a USB-C port on the case rather than a Lightning port. So far, AirPods and past Beats headphones like the Powerbeats Pro have charged over Lightning, so this could signal a further shift to USB-C.

The design of the Beats Studio Buds has sparked interest because it is similar to the rumored design of the AirPods Pro 2, which are expected later this year. The next-generation AirPods Pro are rumored to have a compact, rounded design that's also stemless, which sounds a lot like the new Beats.

There is no word yet on when the Beats Studio Buds might launch, but they've already been spotted out in the wild in the ears of various athletes like LeBron James, so Apple may be planning to release them soon.

Wondering what the purpose is of having these and AirPods Pro in the product line. Couldn't these be one line?
AirPods Pro are pushed more as an everyday multi-use listening device while Beats Studio Pro (and beats in general) are pushed more for music and working out.

AirPods Pro are not the most comfortable, best fitting, stable and even sounding earbuds for all users. I am glad to see more options that allow the benefits of Apple's H1 chipset in more form factors. I prefer the sound profile and battery life of of my Powerbeats but don't need the ear hooks or cable.

Are we sure that all the rumors about Airpods Pro 2's were miss guided and in fact, the rumors are about these new Beats? It would seem odd for Apple to release these, the push out Pro 2's a few months later, unless the Pro's have some kind of new, amazing tech in them...

Yawn, if you go on the Beats website it’s nothing but propaganda. Wake me up when beats brings something innovative to the table, not just rehashed Apple tech.
You do know Apple owns Beats so it will always appear to be rehashed Apple tech? Beats has a brand following and that’s why they stay a separate product.

Given how off the rumors have been lately, Apple could be working on an AirPlay 2 toaster/speaker combo for all we know

The next generation AirPod pros are expected to have fitness tracking abilities . I would assume that this technology will be the amazing tech justifying the upgrade from the Beats studio buds.

Excited to see if these are the first products to enhance the lossless and spatial audio offering.
I don't understand how lossless quality is selectable for streaming in the first place...

Shouldn't it be impossible to stream lossless files via aac bluetooth?

I thought it was pretty much the only compelling reason for tidal (and its custom bluetooth codec) to exist.

still don’t understand why they keep the beats brand and not just sell with an Apple logo.
apple bought hundreds of companies but this is the only brand which is alive.

Anyone who has basic knowledge about sound, audio, and Headphones won’t buy this piece of ****. Sorry to say but its brutal truth.
Which is really unfortunate, because the beats brand when it first started, actually was about quality, then when they changed the manufacturer, that’s when things started to decline rapidly with build quality, the sound was becoming extremely over bass/poorly balanced treble. And to reflect all of that, their prices have actually gone up on some of their products, but they have released a lot of entry-level products that are far more affordable. Either way, I kind of consider beats comparable to Skull-candy, which is rather pathetic.

There is a specific demographic that is very attached to the Beats brand, they would not just go and by Apple headphones (with Beats gone), they would go and buy another hip hop and rap focused brand.

Sony already have my money this week with the WF-1000XM4. But will be interested to read the reviews.

I am beginning to think that to differentiate its products Apple will keep beats music centric, and give more emphasis to biometrics in the next generation AirPods Pro.
