I was curious about this as well...the release notes are sparse currently as you can imagine. I would have to guess though they continue to drop improvements in the point releases.

For me, it has fixed power consumption on battery. Before, my machine would constantly pull 23-25W with just mail and safari. Now, it's around 10-13W and drops to <6W must faster with the same apps.
10.12.2 fixed my external monitor/clamshell switching issues. I haven't tested if it's broken again since I'm on the road.

So external monitor switching got broken again in 10.12.3 beta 1 but battery life is much better. I'm getting 8-10 hours of normal use now.
Hopefully gets fixed in the next beta release.
