I'm one of the guys having a hard time with my MBP's keyboard in Leopard.
I bought a bluetooth keyboard to use while the problem is getting sorted out. I was surprised to see that the key layout (in terms of scale) are identical for the bluetooth and that on my MBP.
That lead me to wonder if I could swap out the keys (or find some used ones on ebay) from the MBP to the bluetooth keyboard. I'd want to do this because I hate that the new keyboards have completely flat keys!
After looking closer at the bluetooth keyboard, it seems that the metal between the keys would have to be removed (I've been looking for an excuse to buy a dremal 🙂), and possibly a little room on the top, bottom, left, and right to create room for the larger "Pro" keys.
The only downside I can see would be the keyboard loosing some strength, and possibly killing a new $80 keyboard.
Anyone ever heard of this being done?
