New C2D MBP support HD-DVD playback?

Was looking at the preferences in the apple DVD player and noticed a high def. setting. Does the MBP support HD-DVD's?

Apple has publicly announced that it is backing Blu-ray at the moment but nothing will be done about it unless they think it's a good idea to charge in additional $800+ for each machine sold with a compatible player.

Basically, don't hold your breath.

Apple DVD player will play HD-DVDs created in DVDStudioPro and burned to a standard DVD.
