I haven't been able to find a concrete answer to this... I use mobileme to keep calendars synced between my iphone and two computers. The new calendar beta states that it requres OSX 10.6.4. Only one of my computers is on snow leopard. The other is just on leopard. Will updating to the calendar beta break iCal syncing on my Leopard machine?

I'm assuming the answer is yes, but if it is, then isn't it also a reasonable conclusion then that soon it will require 10.6.4 to use mobileme? (Beta software will eventually become the standard software)

I updated on snow leopard then went to leopard on my other computer and seemed to work fine. My iPhone and iPad worked well too. From the settings menu, I turned calendars off and turned beta calendar on which worked fine. No duplicates. Everything appears to be in sync.
