It appears that Apple is just throwing anything that comes in to their mind. First...they thought.."hey I have a great idea! Let's give them a large tablet and call it pro!" "Why?" engineers asked. "Because they will be a professional spender!"

Then Jon and his "pals" then came up with a legendary idea...."hey guys...since the first pro was successful, lets try to make it more cooler by making it small." "Why?" engineers asked. "Because we want them to think it's different by making it smaller and lighter." "We thought iPad pro was suppose to be big." "Not really...we're gonna make it small because people are suckered into buying new."

A legendary myth....ancient story about a consumer named, david vs. Apple, the Golith's brother.

And you know all this, confirmed, how? Because last I heard it was a rumor. Why do you get passionate on things that haven't happened?

Fundamentally, Apple needs to reimagine what the iPad IS. Sales are declining, in my opinion, people want an all in one computing device to add to their smartphone. An iPad doesn't accomplish this no matter how many proprietary connectors it has. Its time for them to give the OS more core functionality and give the iPad USB type C ports

Those are nice upgrades but I won't upgrade my Air to use the same iOS.

Netflix doesn't need pen support.

Is there a technical reason for the flash being below the camera or is it just a cosmetic change?

depends on how you look at it...it could also be beside the camera if you hold it in landscape like most people would if taking a landscape oriented photo

Wow, this really is Case Leak Week. First the 7, then the SE, now the Air 3? What's tomorrow, an AppleWatch 2 case?

Pink Panther says: "I'm not talking about the products itself....oh oh oh! It's the concept/ideology! whoo hoo hoo!"

Am I'm the only one getting overwhelmed with the 101 Apple product sizes

...and colors.

I can't see a 9.7" iPad called Pro, for "pro" work. Let's even say it has the pencil support,
still not Pro to me.

Maybe a way to squeeze more mullah out of the masses who have to have the latest and
use them as statements.

In the meantime my 2nd gen iPad says hello and is doing just fine.

This just in: SAMSUNG releases a case for the xBox.

How is this case design going to work? I guess it would work with some kind of magsafe-style charging cable. But any smart keyboards aren't going to work because the case makes the connector inset...

I suppose having four speakers will make it harder to cover them all up with your hands when holding the iPad. They should still be on the bloody front though!

But why? You don't have a filesystem, so external storage would be useless. Even if iOS wasn't completely touch-based and Apple Pencil wouldn't be a superior pointing device already, bluetooth mouses are cordless since forever. The iPad can't drive an external display or spare much power to run peripherals. And there aren't an awful lot of USB-C peripherals out there anyway.

So what do you want to connect?!

Should have been more specific... I meant a Mac refresh, not a new product launch.
last spring......

edit: from macbook pro roundup page... "Apple's 13 and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pros are the company's top-tier portable machines. The 13-inch model received an update featuring a Force Touch trackpad on March 9, 2015, while the 15-inch model followed suit on May 19."

Additionally the MacBook Airs

Apple's 11- and 13-inch ultra-portable notebook computers received an update on March 9, 2015 with new Intel Broadwell processors, improved graphics, and Thunderbolt 2 connectivity. The 13-inch model also features new flash storage that is up to twice as fast as the previous generation.

Also from buyers guide/roundup.

Just my prediction. But with all of these welcome additions, especially Pencil support and 4K display, it'll be starting at $599 32GB

There's no confirmed 4k display and if there ever is they'll put it in the larger iPad Pro first. Pencil support isn't going to drive up the cost. Getting rid of the 16GB base would be nice. It's just not enough anymore.

Or like a lot of Apple Technologies they appear on one device line and spread to other sizes and models.

Then Jon and his "pals" then came up with a legendary idea...."hey guys...since the first pro was successful, lets try to make it more cooler by making it small." "Why?" engineers asked. Don't give them all the credit for this "legendary" idea - I wanted a smaller one even before the Pro was "successful". I imagine the larger canvas of the larger Pro is great if you want to draw. But I want it for note taking, replace my A4 pad that I usually carry into meetings.

iPad Air 2 size + Pencil support + OneNote = day 1 buy.

While I do like the iPad Pro a lot, I kinda regret buying one instead of waiting for the iPad 3.

The speakers make the whole "media consumption" experience top notch. But unfortunately the size has kept the machine from leaving the house. In fact, I ended up buying an iPad Mini just so I could have a portable iPad which is just ridiculous.

Resale value lately on the iPad Pro has been pretty low but if I do manage to unload it then I'll gladly buy an iPad Air 3. Better speakers, faster battery charging and pencil support on a machine that I can actually take outdoors.
