Now that the series 5 has a compass app you also might want to look a Pro Compass for the apple watch (.99Cents) and I personally find it to be accurate and precise and it's smooth. not bad to take a look at it.

Not much at all but I just like the looks of it.

Just so everyone is aware of that when I use the compass app supplied with my series 5 and using my Milanese band I have more issues with the magnet BUT when using the new Pro Compass app so far NO issues!

Pro Compass for Watch is one of the ones I was looking at last week, along with Big Arrow. I’m seriously thinking about getting Pro Compass for my S4. I’m not sure how well it will work, being that the S4 doesn’t have a magnetometer like the S5.

I'd be wary of any app that claims to use the S5 hardware compass yet "appears to work fine" when that compass is affected by localized magnetic fields like watch bands with magnets. Clearly the app is doing something to the compass data, because it sure as heck can't do anything to the localized magnetic fields. You can't be sure you're getting accurate guidance in either case, which is a problem if you're expecting accurate guidance.

I bought Pro Compass for my S4 last week to use for walking/hiking until I spring for an S5 in December. It does require calibrating against a real compass, but that’s not a major issue.
