New contants only show up in spotlight search...

I'm having some issues when I add new contacts into my iPhone, they will not show up in the contact section of the phone app, nor will they show up in the actual contacts app. They will however show up when I search for them in spotlight. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here?? Thanks.
