Well today I have loaned my 17" macbook pro to a friend.

They have been windows users always and never even thought of apple.

Thing is there aging 5 year old windows pc is problematic.

I upgraded it from XP to 7.
ok spec machine 3.0GHz AMD with 4GB ram and 500GB HDD.

Few days ago they got a virus.
It is there only machine as the laptop backup has a dead mobo.

It is also used for business.

So loaned them my mac while I fix the desktop.

So today gave them a quick lesson, im no pro and still learning myself.

Real easy to setup, pickup the wifi printer easy (windows did not and we had to setup the printer as cloud printer on the windows tower).

Moved over all the documents/photos etc and up and running in about an hour.

They are very happy and find it easy to use, even better than windows.

Now this is a daughter of 28 and her parents.
They are all happy.

So am I as they are talking about buying my macbook pro from me.
So we all win lol.

They are looking to buy an imac too now to replace the desktop.

Considering how long they been with windows they are taking to it quite well.

lol, new users buddy.

Thanks who ever moved thread but thought community was best place as they borrowing the pro and thinking of getting a imac.

So didn't think pro section was best place as it was more about new users experience with machine.
