why? series 6 will work great for many years.
Well. If they all of a sudden change design and keep that new design going for years, then my series 6 will seriously look outdated. And maybe they change the strap sizing/ application, then I won't be able to get new straps.

But so far I'm really enjoy the series 6. Blood oxygen, ECG, and fall detection are all cool. And the apps run so fast and so smoothly.

I wear Citizen Eco Drive Promaster Sky "Perpetual Motion Device".

- It recharges itself
- It never needs software updates
- Its screen never gets black
- Its Funk Tech always shows me the exact time

Ok, I can't make phone calls with it but I can live with that. There are so many other "toys" you
can play around with all day long ... more creatively ... on bigger screens.

Honestly, for me a watch is a piece of jewellery you wear on your body. As long as there is no Energy Tech
that constantly keeps the display bright, alive and kicking ... the digital watch will remain as "boring".

That's my opinion.

I'm in the same boat, I love my Citizen Eco Drive, purchased in 2008, they employ a capacitor rather than a battery with memory effect and they look fine. What's not to like? Well maybe the UI, I find Citizen controls unintuitive but then I am not continually making changes.

I finally purchased an Apple Watch Series 6 this year having reconciled that it is going to be disposable after probably 4 years, for my age and health the ECG and blood oxygen are toys, especially the latter which appears very sensitive to conditions and method of use, I love the tap on the wrist notification as for some reason I just don't feel my iPhone these days even in my inside jacket pocket. Alas it went back after 48 hours, in that time it had frozen with a dim display, started not displaying Dark Sky complications correctly and crashed twice. I'm of a mind to consider another series 6 or perhaps more likely the SE now that I have got the ECG scratch itched once there is either an obvious update with a fix or the thread posts about crashing AWs die down.

In summary had the AW experience been flawless (no crashes or glitches) I'd have kept the AW6, as it stands I am left questioning Apple QA and testing for the WatchOS7 release given how readily mine had issues and other users appear to too, I didn't go out of my way to stress test the device.

That's one reason why I ordered the S5 at a discount. The inaccurate O2 sensor is of no interest to me, but I wanted to try out the always-on-display, something I couldn't get with the SE.

I don't expect them to do this, but it would be cool if they could release a 40, 42.5, and 45 mm for Series 7, with a thinner case.

Thinner/ lighter is always better. But hopefully the general feel the the design doesn't change too much and the bands out on the market are still applicable.

Hmm not sure how I would feel about a squared design on the watch aesthetically. They may be able to make the screen a bit larger or the bezel thinner, which is admittedly intriguing

The potential design change is interesting.
When the AW first came out I wasn’t particularly impressed with the design, I got it for the features not the form.
Same applies to the iPhones when they went rounded. I never liked the rounded iPhone form and sorely missed the flat edges and the iPhone4 design.
But wearing the AW daily for years saw me grow to like the shape of the AW.
So while I like my iPhone and iPadPro being flat edge am not sure about the AW - perhaps it’s because the AW is part jewellery and body-worn...
I’d buy it of course lol

Square? Like the Chanel Premiere watch collection? I have this already. :D :) :D
