What is it that makes the front of brand new iOS devices so shiny? I don't think it's the lack of dust or marks from use. They're more shiny than other manufacturers brand new products.

all jokes asides... maybe it's the kind of glass apple uses or maybe it's a coating that makes it shine brighter.

Different material. And yeah, I think Apple does coat their stuff very well.

And the coating or shininess lasts as well. Even on a dirty old device, cleaning it will make it as shiny as new.
