How likely is it that the problem is fixed with the new GPU? If anyone gets it please update this thread

This is actually very unlikely. It seems to be a non GPU related issue as i am experiencing this on my 15 inch model (Vega 20 installed).

What poping sound? You mean that occasional speaker distortion, e.g. when watching YouTube videos? That was fixed months ago.

The 16-inch's popping is still happening occasionally at the start of video and audio tracks, even on 10.15.5.

It happens with both the speakers and headphones connected to the 3.5mm headphone port.

This is unlikely to be related to the dGPU, since it does not seem to happen when you use a USB-C audio adapter, like Apple's own USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter.

It has not been fixed.

Max Tech on YouTube who reviewed it has said he has no speaker popping issues
Did he specifically mention the issue and say that it is gone with this config?

I have noticed two types of popping sounds: a muffled pop and a very loud pop.

It can be hard to hear the muffled pop, because you might think it is static in the audio recording or a drum beat in the music. You can detect it easily when you playback the audio side-by-side on another machine though.

The very loud pop was alarming when I first heard it. There is dead silence at the beginning of a track, and then there is a sharp pop that is far louder than the volume of the music or audio. These loud ones made me listen closer to other tracks, which is how I noticed the muffled pops.

This issue seems to only happen on certain tracks and maybe certain programs, so maybe you might not encounter it. I did not notice it for the first one or two weeks.
