Alright guys, i bought a new iMac a day after they went out. I'm a graphic designer and i'm completly satisfied with it, except for the glossy screen. The fadings/different colors are starting to get on my nerves. Anyway, i Need an external display. Right now, i'm considering two displays.

I could get a 20" Dell for about 250$.

Or i could get a used 20" Apple Cinema Display for about 250-300$ like this one

I think i'm leaning toward the Apple display. It looks gorgeous and seems to be awesome for colors and everything. What's your opinions about this guys ?
Or do you have any better suggestions for a 250-325$ 20" display ?

Thank you

Thats a tough choice right there. I personally wouldn't buy anything used. So I'd suggest the dell. I use a SyncMaster 226bw which I love. But that's a little more than $250. 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms...pretty good if you ask me, most monitors are 3 to 5ms

Okay, but i heard that the 22 syncmaster doest get you exact colors.

Anyone else ?

That Dell 20" is also a TN panel just as any 22" would be. The Dell 2007WFP is a better choice, since you may get an S-IPS panel. Note that they have a lottery on those, and you might get a PVA instead.

Dell is charging $400 for it right now. Not sure why. But that is way too much. They just updated this version, the 2008WFP. It is a TN panel and has a webcam now. I would avoid it, unless you like the new styling.

I think the used Apple would be a better choice if you can get one for a good price.
