New displays to be uber glossy too?

    Wouldn't it be awful if the new cinema displays that are 'supposed' (i dont know where the rumors went) to be coming out, get a redisgn that includes the new mirrors, errr, glass that the imacs just got :eek:

    what do you think? will apple ruin another product for the graphics / photo customers? hmmmm.

    I like the glass - it protects the LCD from people touching it (especially kids in the schools).

    I have a Xerox LCD covered in glass and love it.

    Maybe a consumer grade monitor like the iMacs? Hopefully a 17" to fill in for the discontinued 17" iMac. Maybe for $349? Add a Mini, mouse, and keyboard to come under an iMac. Maybe slightly less but you do have a separate system rather than an AIO.

    If they are it will be the end of Apple in the design/film/photography business.

    Not really, just have 2 display lines, consumer and pro...

    I hope they keep a matte option on the larger semi-pro monitors. I can see why some people like glossy, but matte is better for my uses.

    like they have two iMac lines, glossy and matte...
