Quick question, how do you get rid of the annoying multiple page view when you open up a new excel document. You know the one that has the spread sheet split up and its says "click to add data". I added a picture of what I'm talking about. This view is annoying and I just want to have it one simple sheet like when you open up a new document in windows.

I haven't used Excel 2004 in a while, but have you tried changing the view from the menu? View > Print or something else? I'm pretty sure just changing the view will remove the second set of cells.

Choose the View > Normal menu item. Also:
  1. Choose Excel>Preferences...
  2. Click View in the sidebar.
  3. In the Show section, select the Open new worksheets in this view: Normal.
