With four months to go until the scheduled completion of Apple's second campus, work is progressing at a steady pace. Based on a new drone video posted this week, the main ring-shaped building at the center of the campus is nearly complete, as are many of the auxillary buildings.

Now that construction is getting to the end stages, workers at the campus have started the landscaping process. The giant pile of dirt that's been visible since the early stages of the campus is now dwindling down as its used for various landscaping projects.

Apple plans to add more than 7,000 trees to the campus, spread across 300 species, including many fruit trees. Steve Jobs envisioned replicating some of the California landscape that was around when he was a child, which includes sprawling orchards.

Along with 80 percent green space, the campus will feature employee amenities like easily traversable jogging and cycling trails and basketball and tennis courts.

Apple plans to have the campus completed by the end of 2016 and employees are set to begin moving in at the beginning of 2017.

The amenities for the employees are nice. And captivating.
Much like the Hotel California, you can never leave.
Why go home when you could stay on the grounds and work 18 hour days broken up by walks through fruit trees?

If that drone video is current it looks like they've got somewhat longer than 4 months to wait for even the main building to be complete. The underground parking structure is still exposed with rebar still going in.

Drones in a few years will also get more advanced and with possible stealth technology (quieter). We should continue to get these videos posted for years after the Campus is completed.

I really wonder what Apple employees are doing all day. 80% of their income comes from the iPhone,
still in one year they basically didn't touch it, sorry, they removed one plug - how much resources
did this "improvement" need? 10000 people working 8 hours/day for 360 days?
They didn't do anything else as we all know - no new Macs, no Apple TV, no improvements in their software.
Really strange.

I'm curious if the new Theater will be ready for the fall iPhone presentation.

Maybe Apple just makes buildings now.

Probably discussing back and forth what shade of space gray they will use for the next iPhone. There's no consistent "gray" between any of their product lines, even within them
