Does anyone know if I can buy a Macbook Pro at the Apple Store and show them my registration or student ID or transcripts and still get the discount? Or will the Apple Store require me to register with UNiDAYS? As someone who has had their SS, DOB, and contact information leaked on the dark web, I'm very careful about where I open accounts. I try and avoid 3rd party sites whenever possible.

Unfortunately, a UniDays account would still be needed. Even if you bring your physical student ID to an Apple Store, the store systems require confirmation through this platform to unlock the education pricing

It's more so to confirm that you're not using your student ID 5 years after you graduated. For me as an admin, I did have to use my EDU email to sign up.

The verification email is sent to your official student email address. No SSN required, DOB or contact info. Just your college email to verify.

This is correct.
