New Facebook Update problems?

Anyone having problems with the latest FB app update? Won't get past the blue FB splash screen and the "loading" icon?

I read somewhere I think on the front page of MacRumors that you have to delete the application and then redownload. This should fix the problem🙂

Ah don't worry. Sorted itself out after a re-install and hard reset.🙂

It seems to be quite a widespread problem. My phone ended up in an endless reboot cycle so I had to restore. It seems to mainly be an issue with those who have an iPhone 4 (non-jailbroken) running iOS 4 who update their existing app (which you would expect to be able to do!) rather than doing a clean install.

It is shocking that such a destructive update got through QC testing and onto the App Store.

If it doesn't work: reboot your phone and start the app again and wait until it loads - at least that worked for me 🙂
